JCK Special Combination Whetstone #1000/#4000 Grit

 JCK has been working with one of the best Japanese Whetstone manufacturers to research and develop the most practical Combination Whetstone for our customers.

 The “JCK Special Combination Whetstone” is a practical and economical “two-in-one” whetstone. One side has a most useful #1000 medium-grit abrasive for shaping the cutting edge, while the other side has a #4000 fine-grit abrasive for polishing and honing the cutting edge. The #4000 grit side is also very useful for the occasional ‘touch-up’ during long working sessions in the kitchen. 

 We paid special attention to the commonly used #1000 grit side of the whetstone, where we have used the highest quality of abrasive, in order to provide maximum cutting power. Similarly, the #4000 grit side of the whetstone uses high-quality, carefully screened, fine-grit abrasives to ensure a finely honed cutting edge and a smooth sharpening sensation.

Since it does not require soaking, is compact and features the most commonly used grit sizes, it is ideal for people who have limited space for their sharpening equipment, or people who travel a lot.

 The stone is proudly marked with the JCK logo and comes with a complimentary non-slip rubber sheet/pad. You can place this sheet underneath your whetstone to prevent it from moving whilst sharpening, or to prevent it from scratching the work surface.

Sharpening Tips:  
This Special Combination Whetstone does not need to be soaked in water before sharpening. Either side of the whetstone can be used immediately after its surface has been thoroughly wetted with water. To ensure a smooth and efficient sharpening experience, we recommend that you occasionally re-wet the surface of the stone during sharpening. Before storing your whetstone, please air-dry the stone in a warm, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and other sources of heat.
